lyrics

Desperate times call for unusual acts of kindness.
A simple life may be the thing that drives them to madness.
They do their job, and leave, feeling drained,
go home and shut down.

It’s time they rest and lay their heads down on the pillows,
for the day’s almost over and they’ll be back tomorrow.

The day begins with them, here they come their marching in,
it’s just the same, never changed, it’s like it always had been.
Then one day, there came idea in my brain,
I went to them and shared the idea,
their eyes lit up filled with rain,
I’d never seen them this way.
Things had changed and they’d never be the same.

The fact that we die is mere speculation,
either way we’ll be here for some time,
might as well get it right.
And what we get wrong we’ll learn from and enjoy,
each second we’re alive.
And I’ll do what I can to help make them happy.

Desperate times, desperate times,
desperate times call for unusual acts of kindness.
